We live in a world that is divided. And this division has even reached the Church. But God calls us, instead, to come together as the body of Christ, to be joined by our common faith and to bridge the gaps between us. We are called to seek the elevation of God rather than ourselves and our opinions. We are called to choose not to be “offended”, but to offer each other forgiveness. God has called us to follow the path of Jesus.
Ephesians 4:2-6 explains, “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
