I’m hearing a weariness in the voices of many around me right now. Parents who need to work that have the added pressure to help children with their online education. Areas of the world where life was getting back to normal have been hit with a second wave and their newfound freedoms are being replaced with restrictions once again. Life is hard.
And we find ourselves going back to our Women of Hope verse of the year, Matthew 11:28. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.”
We can’t do this alone, and so would you join me in praying,
Father, we come to you as your weary daughters and sons. We cannot live in our own strength. This day we focus our eyes on you, let go of all that troubles our minds and hearts and we choose to find rest for our souls in your loving arms. Amen.
